Left-field electronics lover and Hyperdub signing Loraine James is a creative force to be reckoned with. Having recently lent her skills to a glitchy remix of Kelly Lee Owen's 'Wake Up' (see List Pick here), James is back with a phenomenal new track of her own. Featuring the lighter-than-air vocals of Eden Samara, 'Running Like That' is a flawless balancing act of hard and soft elements. Grounded by a hard and nasty kick sound, frantic electronic hi-hats ripple in all the right spots, adding a distinctive industrial quality to the otherwise melodic and soulful song. Arriving alongside a film by Rob Heppell that sees James occupying a video-game world, 'Running Like That' is an excellent release by a truly exciting artist. -Holly Mullineaux
